Hello good readers!!!
It has been long time since my last post in here!!😁
How have you been? I hope you'll be fine!!

Now, I'd like to inform you about the material that still relate with sociolinguistic!

Here is it!!
As you can see at the picture above, I'd like to inform you about other social factors affecting code choice.
There are four other social factors that affecting code choice.

  1. The Social Distance
  2. The Status Relationship
  3. The Dimension of Formality
  4. The Function or Goal of the Interaction

The social distance means how far your relation with your partner speaking. How well do you know each other, strangers or friends. It will be different when you are talking with your friend and with strangers, right?
The status relationship means the relative status or role between two speaker. For example one of the speaker is student and the other is teacher. It will be different how they are talking each other, right?
The dimension of formality is about the situation that the speakers speak. For example in formal wedding ceremony, the speakers will be speak formal than in the lunchtime chat.
The function or goal of the interaction means what is the language being used for? For example getting a bargain.

I think enough for this material. I'll be back soon!! Thank you very much 😄
